Makanyi Private Game Lodge is located in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve that forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Spectacular wildlife adventures are made at Makanyi Private Game Lodge, while being accommodated in luxury.

Overlooking a permanent waterhole with traversing rights to over 9000 hectares of private concessions the lodge prides itself on not only giving guests a very private safari experience, but also on its homely atmosphere with welcoming staff, superb cuisine and the utmost attention to detail.

The new 2-bedroomed Marula Suite escape sleeps a maximum of 4 guests making it ideal for families, a groups of friends, two couples travelling together or just a couple looking for that extra privacy, flexibility and more of a home away from home feel.

Set away from the main lodge and with 366m² of space (inclusive of a large outdoor deck), the Marula Suite features two en-suite bedrooms each with their own shower and separate bath, a dining room and kitchen, a large living room with cable TV which opens on to a vast outdoor deck with its own Boma and private swimming pool. On the deck guests can relax and unwind with a gin and tonic after an exhilarating day, watch the sun set and the stars rise.

Game Drives
Two thrilling game drives are on offer every day: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. This is your opportunity to meet and photograph the incredible animals in the heart of their natural habitat.

Bush Walks
Take a stroll in the bush with your ranger and follow the animal tracks, discover hundreds of intriguing plants and bushes, and learn about the tiniest creatures. You might even sneak up to a rhino on foot, which is a thrilling experience! *Walks are done in our winter months only.
