DESCRIPTION:
Situated in a remote southeastern part of the Hwange National Park, in a private concession area in a typically un-used part of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. It is a beautiful amphitheatre fringed by teak forest that opens up onto an impressive waterhole that is a playground to the famous elephant herds of Hwange. Situated on the central side of the popular south eastern part of Hwange National Park, Verney’s Camp is a private concession of 10 000 hectares (24 710 acres).
The accommodation at Verney's Camp is a masterfull blend of modernity, comfort and exposure to the untamed wildlife. The tents are tucked perfectly under the shady arms of the teak trees bordering the open waterholein front of camp. Each tent has been carefully positioned to ensure the best serenity and privacy so that guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The designer tents are inspired by the spirits of safaris of old combined with all the modern necessities. Each of the eight of the double/twin rooms is comfortably appointed and has en-suite shower, flush toilet, double vanity, all beautifully designed to retain the authenticity and magical feeling of being on safari.
Early Morning and Sunset Game drives are included in your stay. Each game drive is approximately 3h30 minutes long and conducted by a professionally trained guide. Alternatively you can embark on a Guided Walk with your Ranger, as you learn about wildlife, fauna and flora in the area.
