Nestled deep within the Malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve, situated in the breathtaking Waterberg Biosphere is the spectacular Nedile Lodge, where guests are met by pure luxury, warm hospitality and terrific activities to enjoy.
Nedile Lodge offers guests a truly African holiday experience, far from the stress and turmoil of daily life. Nedile Lodge is only three hours north of Pretoria, and the Welgevonden Reserve is a declared Heritage Site of 36000 hectares (more than 80000 acres).
This true bushveld environment is home to some of Africa’s most sought after game species, including white rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland and many other varieties of antelope. There may even be the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the aardvark, brown hyena, spotted hyena or rarely seen honey badger.
The exclusive Nedile Lodge can accommodate 10 guests in 5 luxurious rooms. Nedile’s stylish suites have been positioned perfectly between rocky outcrops on a north-facing slope, and are complemented perfectly by breathtaking views of the Waterberg Mountains.
Two of the suites may be used as family units with an inter-leading entrance hall. Each suite at Nedile has been designed for complete privacy, relaxation and comfort, and has a private deck, fireplace, ceiling fan, indoor and outdoor showers, and an invitingly luxurious bathroom.
The main lodge at Nedile, with its African theme, comprises a bar, dining room and comfortable lounge, and invites guests to sit back, relax and take in the peace and tranquility of the surroundings, all while experiencing the warmth of South African hospitality.

HIGHLIGHTS
This beautiful bushveld environment is home to some of Africa’s most sought after, mysterious and elusive species of game, including one of the largest collections of white rhino to be kept on private land. The reserve also houses the remaining four animals that make up Africa’s Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo.
Additionally, guests will be treated to sightings of giraffe, zebra, eland, wildebeest and many other antelope varieties. Nedile is also the ideal place for nature lovers, and one may even get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the aardvark, brown hyena or the rarely spotted honey badger.
OUR TIPS
The diverse habitat on the reserve welcomes and provides for a wide range of animal and bird life. While the grassy plains of the reserve absolutely abound with antelope – from the largest eland to the most diminutive duiker – the cheetah, lion and leopard are also always close by.
Rolling wooded mountains cut by deep rocky ravines and majestic gorges make Welgevonden Private Game Reserve an evocative piece of Africa. Aptly meaning ‘well found’, this is a place of rare and rugged beauty, plentiful wildlife and prolific birdlife. Spectacular scenery and excellent game viewing make Welgevonden quite unlike anywhere else on earth.
